Worthington Swim Club

About the Club

Overview

The Worthington Swim Club is a competitive swim club consisting of over 150 swimmers and their families, most of whom reside in the City of Worthington, a suburb in northwest Columbus, Ohio.  Swimmers range in age from 5 to 18 and in ability from pre-competitive swimmers to swimmers who have achieved national championship time standards.

USA Swimming, an organization formed by an Act of Congress to govern amateur swimming competition in the United States, sanctions the Worthington Swim Club.  The Club is active over an indoor,  “short-course” season lasting from September to March, and an outdoor “long-course” season lasting from late April to August.  The Club trains at the Worthington Natatorium and competes in USA Swimming sanctioned meets throughout the Columbus area, the State of Ohio and surrounding states.

The club's parent booster organization, Worthington Swim Club Boosters, Inc., is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation supported through charitable contributions, donated goods and services, and income from Club sponsored swim meets and sales.  A Boosters Board of Directors elected by the Club membership provides support to the Worthington Swim Club.

You can support the Club by making a tax-deductible charitable contribution to the Boosters organization. Information on how to make such a contribution is available at the link Make a Donation on the left-hand side of each page.

Mission Statement

It is the responsibility and mission of the Club and every member of the Club to provide a supportive, positive and fundamentally sound atmosphere where each swimmer can reach his/her personal best.

It is the goal of the Club to promote and support team spirit and personal attitude, and to seek excellence as a club, as a team and as individuals.

We will respect all levels of swimming abilities while striving for balance between individual achievement and team success.
